NOSTALGIC AUTO RACING
North Denver, Colorado
Nostalgia Racing, Inc., a promoter and organizer of Vintage/Historic
road racing events in the Rocky Mountain region, held it's third race
of the 2001 season on August 18th & 19th. This event would be
run at the Continental Divide Racepark, which is located about 30
miles north of Denver, Colorado. This challenging 1.7-mile road course,
which has 9 turns and several elevation changes, would put 80+ competitors
to the test over this beautiful late-summer Colorado weekend. Austin
Healey, Lotus, Porsche, BMW, Corvette, and Shelby (GT-350 & Cobra)
were just some of the production based vehicle marques on hand, to
go along with a full compliment of open-wheel Formula cars. The variety
of cars seen at a historic race event is unlike any other motorsports
event anywhere. From the classic Austin Healey "Bugeye"
Sprite, to Mclaren Can-Am racers with 900 ground-pounding horsepower,
youre likely to see it all.
